Leadershippy is a collection of resources for people-first people. We make and share philosophies, tools, and other stuff to help companies, teams, and individuals balance their ambition with care for themselves and others.
Everything we make is encouraging, thoughtful, unconventional, and a little weird. (Case in point: we spent more time than any sane group of people would have to create a story-driven, art- and music-filled online adventure just to help people we care about deal with burnout.)
And we’re so glad you’re here.
If you’ve been dealing with burnout or if you’ve been wondering what you’re doing with your life, try The Call of the Wildling. And put on your headphones…it’s worth it.
If you want to hear about new resources we make and find, subscribe to the Leadershippy newsletter. We send out really good stuff, and you’ll get to be the first to hear about everything we’re doing.
Oh hai. Maybe I should have introduced ourselves to begin with. I’m Sarah and this is Adam, and we spend a lot of time thinking about this stuff. We’re also stewards at &yet (a term we use instead of “business partners” to more accurately describe how we see that role.)
&yet is a hard-to-describe software consultancy made up of some interesting people. None of us really see ourselves as “leaders,” and yet (and yet!), everything we do is based on the idea that each one of us can use our influence to make things better than they are right now (Adam wrote a whole post about this; it’s a good read!)
Everything you see here is a result of research and thinking we do at &yet to help ourselves and our team work in a healthy way that honors who we are and helps us grow into who we want to be.
If you’ve been wondering how to promote your work without feeling shitty about it, we’re putting the finishing touches on the second edition of Gather the People: A human approach to marketing for people who would rather make what they love than persuade people to buy it. You can pre-order beautiful hardcover, kindle, and audiobook versions.
WE ARE EXCITED (Can you tell?)
There are so many things we can’t wait to share with you. And we hope Leadershippy helps you (and all of us!) embrace people-first values without sacrificing your ambition.
Thanks for being here!
We send out a newsletter sharing philosophies, tools, and other stuff that helps us balance pragmatism and idealism.
